Kura Kura and its affiliates are looking for a Creative director to lead their product portfolio. The Creative Director will be responsible for the development and management of all aspects of the brand’s design and creative production. This is a leadership role, with responsibility for the online and offline design production and the success of the design and creation team. The role will be challenging and exciting, requiring you to develop visual designs and, at other times, be responsible for recruiting and managing multidisciplinary third-party teams, as well as internal design resources. You will need to be an expert in all facets of the creative process – and the creative industry – from concept to writing, marketing, strategy, event planning, and social media.

Objectives of the role:

—Take a leading role in managing the design and creative elements of projects and be the point of contact for brand partnerships and creative projects

– Organize and guide the creation of all content and creative assets. This includes, but is not limited to:

– Direct photo and video shooting

– Concepts for billboards and traditional print media

– Curating engaging offline and online marketing campaigns

– Planning and strategy for key events: product launches, brand anniversaries, key community events

– Design direction for new products

– Refresh and rename the products if necessary

—Discover creative ways to communicate each brand story, with a deep understanding of each key message

—Spearhead content strategy for small and large-scale projects across the entire brand portfolio: operations strategy, digital and brand design, compelling content and technology

—Develop creative programs and design concepts that meet the brand’s business goals and advance branding and proposition strategy

—Collaborate with marketing and sales departments to develop marketing plans, analyze results and identify opportunities

—Develop internal marketing campaigns for brands that translate business unit marketing goals into clear and motivating creative strategies

—Analyze brand tracking, market trends, consumer needs and competitive landscape

—Ensure design and creative projects are delivered on time

—Provide quality control on design and production outputs

– Meet budget standards by forecasting and managing expenses

—Monitor, review and improve the marketing plan by studying creative processes, analyzing campaign results and implementing necessary changes

Responsibilities:

—Supervise a cross-functional team of graphic designers, copywriters, social media experts, photographers / videographers and project managers in the strategic development of messages and deliverables

—Prioritize work and resources between commitments based on short- and long-term needs, establishing production schedules by collaborating with designers, writers and production departments

– Organize brainstorming sessions with teams, maintain strategic and creative thinking to develop innovative and exploitable creative initiatives in a fiscally responsible manner

—Produce fresh, innovative work that translates complex ideas into compelling print materials and digital experiences for a visually sophisticated audience

—Review and approve artwork and text developed by the team, ensuring that deliverables effectively meet marketing goals and challenges

—Present or supervise the presentation of final concepts and obtain approvals for deliverables

Skills and qualifications

—5 years of related experience in a similar role with preferably 3 years or more in an agency

—Experience creating marketing / advertising campaigns, developing vision and messaging platform to overseeing production on time and on budget

—Understanding and past experience creating integrated content across all marketing channels from digital, social media, paid media, mobile, but also understanding offline and print

—Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography and limitations of online and offline design work

—The ability to script or translate ideas to designers and others

-Attention to detail

—A solid working knowledge of online and offline design, brand development and the creative process

—Ability to lead projects from concept to completion

-Ability to supervise and develop a team

—Experience with design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite and Sketch
