YOUNGSTOWN – Courtney Ann Cobb, 31, affectionately known as Cookie, died Thursday morning July 8, 2021 at the Cleveland Clinic, after a brief illness.
Courtney was born September 21, 1989, daughter of Marcus Cobb Sr. and Cheryl Adams. She attended Chaney High and Youngstown State University.
Courtney worked as a sales associate for IGS Energy. She loved painting and bingo. She has been actively involved in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
She allows her memory to be cherished, her loving parents; his siblings, Marcus Cobb Jr. and Cameron Cobb, both of Youngstown, Tamieka Cobb of Canal Winchester, Demetra Provitt of Warren and Brittainny Cobb of Austintown; her children, Xavier Cobb, Isaiah Christian, Amiya Mendez and Lundynn Clinkscales, all of Youngstown, and Shanti Moreland of Akron; three aunts, L’Civia Adams of Campbell, and Debra Pegues and Linda Carter, both of Youngstown; one uncle, Leon Cobb of Columbus, Georgia; a multitude of cousins, nieces and nephews; his bonus parents, Joseph Haywood and Yvonne Willis; and a host of dear friends who were more like family.
Courtney was predeceased by her grandparents, LC, Lillian Adams, Janie Seldon and Eddie Franklin; two uncles, Philip Adams and Vincent Keith Cobb; and an aunt, Ann Marie Seldon.
A homecoming celebration will take place on Monday, July 19, 2021 at noon at the Jaylex Center, 2110 Glenwood Ave., Youngstown, with Reverend Lewis Macklin officiating.
The family will receive friends Monday from 11 a.m. to noon at the Jaylex Center.
Interment will be in Tod Homestead Cemetery.
