Cart.com names industry veteran Kate Gunning as head of marketing

In his new role, Gunning will lead all aspects of branding and marketing to support Cart.com’s next phase of rapid growth.
One of the 2020 Rising Stars of the CMO Club and of the 40 under 40 of the Innovators of the brand, as well as a AdWeek Executive Mentor, Gunning is an accomplished marketing manager with a stellar record of building iconic brands across many industries. Most recently, she held the position of Director of Marketing at IEX, helping the fintech leader to launch a new type of exchange that now manages $ 18 billion in daily exchanges. Under Gunning’s leadership, IEX has dramatically expanded brand awareness and preference among key audiences with creative relationship building campaigns such as Liquidity, Alight and hot industry podcast Boxes and lines.
Prior to IEX, Gunning was Executive Director and Global Head of Brand at JP Morgan Asset Management, where she was instrumental in enhancing the brand image of the divisions and winning accolades including the title of Marketing Specialist. of the Financial Communications Society’s content of the year. Earlier in his career, Gunning worked for some of the world’s largest branding and advertising agencies including JWT, Portas, McGarry Bowen, and dentsuMB, a leader in multimedia branding strategies and advertising campaigns for beloved brands including KitKat, Kleenex, Clarks and Toni & Guy.
